Interactive Fiction (The Beginning)

Interactive Fiction (The Beginning)

I was tasked to make a Digitally interactive, fictional story for my first Mission as part of my Introduction to Digital media course.
I did this with both Gareth and Livia who were on my creative team and also helped me with the writing of the project's story.
We decided to do Interactive Fiction as opposed to the other ideas because we liked the aspect of storytelling within Interactive Fiction.
As we were throwing idea's around we started joking about the prospect of a humorous parody on a Frat Boy horror story as it was coming close to Halloween.

We decided we would actually run with that idea and started with using the Inkle Platform to make it. We started off with rough ideas drawn on a piece of paper before actually using the Inkle platform.

We worked on the Inkle platform from midday till night and nearly had a good chunk of the work finished before we decided to call it a night.
However, when we went to save the project it was unable to save, as Inkle was shutting down its program.
We quickly tried to save all the pages we created, but there was an issue and the page closed itself, losing all of the progress we had made that day.

I also found that making the actual interactive media was very fun. There wasn't anyone out of the three of us who wasn't excited to put forward their own ideas or contribute to others and that added to my experience.

There was one mishap with a saving issue, we had been working on Inkle for a long time but unfortunately, the whole project was lost due to not being able to save work on the site, therefore we had to start again from scratch.
